Sea salt's quality and its beneficial effect in our diet
From history we see that salt has always played a dominant role in the evolution of man kind. It can be found in nature and sea water and also in mineral form. Sea salt is cleaner than rock salt, which must be chemically treated to clean and be appropriate for human consumption. Approximately 30% of global consumption of Sodium Chloride (NaCl) is produced from the sea with the help of solar energy. The management of sea water in the salines generally gives salt of acceptable purity, enriched with other sea elements such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, elements which are necessary in the biochemical process of the cell.

Salt or sodium chloride, apart from being used as a spice to give flavor to food, it also plays key role in biochemical process of the cell.
Generally, the salt produced from sea water is the main produced product. Only when drinking water is produced from sea water , by the method of desalination, in that case salt comes as a product and can not be used without chemical treatment because it contains foreign admixtures (plaster, carbonates, iron hydroxide). In order to produce salt suitable for consumption, there are some steps in the handling of sea water that must be followed.
